Long Gamma Wines
2010 White Blend
We are very pleased to bring you another great wine - at an extraordinary price - from our friends at Long Gamma Wines. Their 2010 Long Gamma White is a delightful and delicious blend of 52% Viognier, 25% Sauvignon Blanc, 9% Rousanne, 9% Grenache Blanc, 5% Orange Muscat.
On paper, this wine might seem sweet. In reality, this is a balanced, crisp and very refreshing white blend. Perfect for your spring and summertime sipping pleasure, we are also recommending that you keep some on hand for the fall holidays.
At today’s very low price, this highly recommended wine is one that you won’t want to miss out on.
Light golden yellow, with even coloration from the heart of the wine out to the clear and glistening edges.
Very aromatic with sweet aromas of orange blossom, acacia flower, sweet lemon, dried hay, white jasmine tea and a hint of grapefruit.
Sweet and bright, with a hint of tartness at the end, this wine leads with young pineapple, dried apricot, lychee, dried hay, granny smith apple and a hint of zesty lemon.
Long and balanced with a distinct flavor of grilled pineapple drizzled with honey.
Enjoy on a warm day with a fresh salad nicoise. Chicken tikka kabob would also be a real compliment to this very flexible white delight.
What the Winery Says
Aromas of white flowers, orange marmalade and a touch of honey jump from the glass. Luscious mango, apricot and mandarin orange make their appearance on the palate, complemented by nutty and honeyed-tea notes courtesy of the Roussanne. On the finish distinct impressions of lime and minerals keep the wine fresh and balance its tropicality.
About the Winery
Long Gamma is the brainchild of the team at Reynoso Family Vineyards, all Chicago ex-pats. The Reynoso Family Vineyards label has been making outstanding varietally designated wines from the Alexander Valley for 9 years, but we wanted to be able to play with blends, while producing delicious wines at reasonable prices. We saw a terrifying, exciting opportunity with all of this world-class fruit. With Long Gamma, we get to produce and blend delicious, may we even suggest irresistibly quaffable wines, with this fruit.
