Tasting Profile

Look:

Very dark with a mostly-opaque heart of darkest garnet. The edges show pure ruby.

Smell:

Very sweet at the very front of the nose, with mixed sweet flower petals, Rainier cherry, braised plum, blackberry jam and dried violets.

Taste:

Also quite sweet with stewed blackberry, braised plum, dried violets, loganberry, walnut, sweet tobacco leaf and black pepper.

Finish:

Very long with lingering dark, jammy fruits that transition to more earthy flavors.

Pairing:

Enjoy this delicious Zinfandel with BBQ chicken smothered with a tangy sauce.
