The 2009/10 growing season was characterized by a relatively cold spring which lead to lower yields and reduced production and increased concentration in each grape which was later evident in the wines from this vintage. During the ripening period in 2010 temperatures dropped below average and so phenolic ripeness was obtained in balance with great natural acidity, round tannins and moderate alcohol levels. The grapes for this wine come from our Marchigue Vineyard where the rolling slopes with granitic soils enhance the complexity of the final wine and the climate of this vintage contributed further to wines of outstanding quality.
