Dominated by red berry fruit on both the nose and palate and displaying the lush fruit and intensity of mountain grown Cabernet Sauvignon our Spring Mountain bottling offers all the hallmarks of this distinctive appellation. Having enjoyed two years of bottle age the wine has developed seductive bottle aromatics including smoky leather and cocoa. A richly layered blend of bourbon-soaked cherry, red currant, and strawberry compote fruit flows through on the palate and the wine finishes with well-built, stout tannins. Though big in structure the palate is wide and the fruit vivid and accessible making the wine suitable for enjoyment in the short term.

93 Point Review - Wine Enthusiast (Previous Vintage) An old-fashioned Spring Mountain Cabernet, marked by hard tannins and a mountain concentration of primary fruit that makes it too astringent and direct to enjoy now. With massive blackberry, blueberry, cassis, dark chocolate and mineral flavors, it needs time to allow all the parts to conjoin. Give it another six years, at the very least.
