The fruit was sourced from the ‘La Rosa Vineyard’, in Sagrada Familia, Curicó Valley. These are old vines over 50 years old. The character of these vines is clearly reflected in the wine with the flavours and textures which it shows. This vineyard is sited in a small valley nestled into the coastal ranges. North facing and protected from the cooling breezes which flow up and down the Mataquito river, it is a very warm site. Soils are a deep sandy loam of low fertility. The surrounding hills naturally supply water for much of the long dry summer.
