Vinification Our Sodaro Felicity Merlot is crafted from Sodaro estate-grown fruit and aged 22 months in French Oak.

Vintage Details The 2011 growing season began with a wet spring that continued into mid-June which delayed bloom and caused lower than normal yields. After a consistently cool summer season, significant mid-October rain dampened the growing season, pushing the vintage back further. Then finally we were gifted with weeks of fantastic weather, a prolonged Indian summer providing the required ripening time. As grapes arrived to the winery, effective sorting and our commitment to quality paid off, and our reward is this full bodied, concentrated, balanced wine.

Tasting Notes This beautifully balanced Merlot offers layers of polished current, and black cherry with hints of spice and ripe plum. The well integrated tannins are soft and silky, with a long, layered complex finish.
