Mission Codename Top Ten '10
Welcome to another Super Spy Sunday - in which we feature wines with a higher starting retail price, and offer them to you at a fabulous Wine Spies price.
By now you know how fabulous the 2010 vintage was in the Napa Valley. Wine Spectator Magazine’s editor in chief, James Laube awarded this mystical vintage a decade-high 99 points. Today’s Grand Napa Wine 2010 Napa Bridge Red Wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, lives up to the 2010 hype by delivering a bold, juicy, and fantastically tasty blend that I’m absolutely crazy about.
Especially at today’s 60% off price.
Very aromatic and very Napa Cab-like on the nose, with bold black cherry, blackberry, cherry pipe tobacco, red currant, spice box, cedar, toasty oak, baker’s chocolate and subtle Santa Rosa plum.
Bright, complex flavors rush onto the palate, with fresh cherry juice, black currant, mulberry, red plum, spice box, baker’s chocolate, flint and a very subtle touch of black pepper.
We love Grand Napa’s wines and we’re very grateful to have such a close relationship with them… We’re also grateful for the exclusive access that they’ve given us to their wines. Oh, and for letting us offer them to our Operative’s at such great prices!
Please enjoy this wine wth our very boldest recommendation.
Cheers!
