A bold, fruit forward Cabernet this wine opens with the sweetness of raisins, prunes and vanilla. Black currant presents a rich profile of dark black fruit and bing cherry. We’re in the sweet spot with this one. The palate is a berry pie full of strawberries, blueberries, cherry, and spices. The perfect combination of power and finesse, there is a nice viscosity in the mouth with a tapered finish. It drinks well right now but has 5-8 years of ageability. All the inimitable Cabernet flavors abound, with a healthy dose of coffee grounds, dusty tannin and wise mature notes.
