Deep purple color with a big Mount Veeder nose suggesting truffle, vanilla, bing cherry, manzanita, and blackberry. Luxuriously mouth-filling fruit (blackberry, cassis, cocoa) with a good tannin grip and textured palate feel and silky smooth finish resulting from extended time in the barrels. A voluptuous and well-structured wine that is attractive now and should easily age ten to twelve years.
