La Sirena Rosato is back for its third year. We are so pleased with the reception our rosé of Primitivo has received over the past few years - by now, it’s well on its way to becoming a new mainstay of the La Sirena lineup. We truly appreciate the support for our Rosato and the many great comments we have received. There are an astounding amount of rosé wines to choose from nowadays and it means a lot to hear that ours is a favorite! It’s very satisfying to make a wine that’s not only special and unique (still haven’t seen many/any other Primitivo rosés out there), but also incredibly fun to drink. We hope you enjoy the latest edition of La Sirena Rosato - the “pink mermaid”.
Winemaker Heidi Barrett Peterson’s Notes: “The 2018 Rosato is made from Primitivo grapes sourced from Amador county in the foothills of California (same vineyard as the previous two vintages). The color is pale salmon pink, with beautiful aromatics of freshly cut strawberries, rose petals and ripe white nectarine. Bright, clean crisp fruit flavors across the palate mirror the aromas, with bright acidity and a mouthwatering finish that leaves you wanting another sip. A fun, unusual varietal Rosé that’s very easy to love. Enjoy!”
