A former Gravenstein apple orchard, Peters Vineyard has the oldest Chardonnay vines planted that far west in Sonoma County where the Russian River, Green Valley, and Sonoma Coast AVA’s meet. Located 10 miles from the ocean (as the crow flies), the vines thrive in the restrictive Goldridge sandy loam soil, southern sun exposure, and cool foggy coastal influence help create wines of intense flavor, with great minerality and bright acidity.

The grapes have time to develop a plethora of complex flavors and aromatics due to the extended hang time that can only come from this cool, coastal growing region. The farmer, Randy Peters, planet two different Dijon clones of Chardonnay.

The bright and vibrant acidity of this Russian River Valley beauty sets it apart from the rest. A subtle hint of oak sets off the pineapple and pear aromatics. Hints of minerality pair nicely with the soft m mouth feel and crisp finish.
