On the nose, a rich aroma of baker’s cocoa emerges, followed by notes of dried black plum. The wine possesses intricate layers of sage, raspberry, red cherry and finishes with balanced notes of forest floor cedar.
The majority of this wine was fermented in the same oak vessel that it was aged in allowing for greater integration of both flavor and tannin. All of the components of the 2017 V3 underwent natural fermentation and were allowed to progress at their own pace with very little intervention. It is our philosophy that this approach allows the wine to present the purest expression of our unique property and its terroir possible. Grown high above the valley floor and on steep hillsides, we hope you can taste all of the love and passion that has been afforded every grape.
