Dark and intense ruby red. Intense and complex nose, spicy notes of pepper and nutmeg, elegant balsamic nuances that mingle with ripe prune, licorice and coffee notes. The fruits are dark like blackberry and blueberry. The palate is warm and opulent, but also extremely fresh and sapid, with tightly knit tannins. Acidity is elevated to pair nicely with food. Long finish with ripe fruit and toasted coffee.

The 2012 vintage brought a very mild, dare we say, problem free vintage. The wines are firmly structured wines that are rich yet elegant Should be able to age 15-20 easily. Recommend decanting and serving with game meats and aged cheese.
