The 2014 Wolf’s Head Iberian Ruby is a fortified red wine created from a blend of grapes from the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) including Tempranillo, Touriga Nacional, Bastardo, and Sauzao.

Our Iberian Ruby retains some of the traditional fruit used to make Port in Portugal. Compared to the average fortified red desert wine, this delicious blend is drier and has the necessary acidity needed to creates a uniquely ripe balance with hints of Christmas spice and sweet plum pudding notes with a long, creamy finish. This is an ideal desert wine, and delicious with cheeses.

Aged for two years in French and Hungarian Oak barrels, Wolf’s Head Iberian Ruby has a deep garnet color and the aroma of dark fruit and spice. The flavor is all about dried figs, cherries and berries with enough acid bite to make the fruit and spice sing Christmas carols. The long chorus of plum pudding will cap off a luxurious meal and compliment a beautiful cheese plate.
