The barrel-aged Mirinè Nebbiolo d’Alba from the Piedmont wine-growing region presents itself in a dense ruby red in the glass. When swirling the glass, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which is evident in the clear church windows on the edge of the glass. This varietal Italian wine flatters the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of blackberries, mulberries, black currants and blueberries. There are also hints of cocoa beans, dark chocolate and black tea.
The Paolo Manzone Mirinè Nebbiolo d’Alba inspires with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with just 1 gram of residual sugar. As you can of course expect from a wine, this Italian enchants with all the dryness and the finest balance. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Mirinè Nebbiolo d’Alba reveals itself fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region delights with its considerable length. There are again hints of blackberries and mulberries. Mineral notes from the soil, which is dominated by clay and limestone, join in the aftertaste.
The powerful Mirinè Nebbiolo d’Alba from Italy is a varietal wine, vinified from the Nebbiolo grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Piedmont. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. Of course, the Mirinè Nebbiolo d’Alba is also determined by the climate and Nebbiolo d’Alba DOC viticulture style. An Old World wine in the truest sense of the word, this Italian is exceptionally impressive on display. At the point of optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Mirinè Nebbiolo d’Alba are harvested exclusively by hand, without the help of rough and not very selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes go straight to the press house. Here you will be selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Mirinè Nebbiolo d’Alba can continue to harmonize for 12 months on the fine lees.
Enjoy this red wine from Italy at an ideal temperature of 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to rocket penne, fried calf’s liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce or boeuf bourguignon.
