This is the second vintage of the second wine, Collines de L’If, embodying the unique personality of the estate through its young vine. Made with the same care and expertise as its big brother, Collines de L’If conveys accessibility, a rich spiciness, and the red fruit character that embodies Saint-Émilion wines.
The vineyards for L’IF are divided into 14 separate parcels, mostly located in Saint-Emilion, close to highly-rated land owned by Troplong-Mondot and Valandraud, on the chalky table land. Following the initial purchase of the estate, a lot of work went into the vineyard starting with the planting of a diverse array of grasses. Vines were replanted at higher densities. The plots are run by a combination of traditional ways (labours) and methods of natural sodding with numerous manual interventions.
