This single vineyard Malbec comes from distinctly alluvial in Gualtallary, with gravel covered with calcium carbonate at a shallow depth, caliche, and calcareous sands. The winemaking involves grape movement by gravity, fermentation in concrete vats with native yeasts, and maceration of 20-25 days. The wine is aged in barrels and concrete vats, bottled unfiltered.
Thanks to the climatic conditions, of a typical year in Mendoza, wines of excellent quality were made. 2018 had an extraordinary harvest, with little rain and without too many complications because it was a dry season. The resulting wine is complex in fruit character with notes of strawberry, cherry, and plum, complemented by fresh herbal and floral notes. Silky with lively acidity, structured tannins, and a long finish. Enjoy with grilled or roasted beef or lamb.
