This 100 acre Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyard was planted over the years 2002 to 2005 and is a staple for the Pinot Noir program at wineries such as Kosta Browne, Three Sticks, Walt and Furthermore. Gap’s Crown Vineyard is located on a western hillside of Sonoma Mountain in the town of Penngrove. The vineyard was historically considered part of the Sonoma Coast AVA but is now the most iconic vineyard in the Petaluma Gap AVA which was created in 2017.

This crystal clear and deep garnet colored wine has big aromatic bursts of ripe raspberry, plum, cherry and violet floral notes. The multi-layered fruit forward palate of black cherry, plum, blackberry and raspberry along with baking spices and bright acidity does not disappoint. Spice and acidity are nicely balanced and round out this very satisfying wine in its lengthy and lingering finish.
