Mother Nature favored the 2012 vintage with a superb growing season characterized by moderate temperatures and bountiful sunshine. At harvest, the fruit exhibited intense flavor, layers of complexity and excellent structure.

Deep dark purple and rich in the glass, the 2012 Appassionata is decadent with dark fruit, espresso, subtle black licorice with a hint of vanilla, a kiss of ground coffee and the umami of forest floor. A bursting full-body with firm tannins and a long, persistent finish. Exceptionally balanced with good acidity, structure and complexity.
