The decision to blend Bordeaux varieties always elicits the question: Left Bank or Right? It’s a question of style. Elegant or powerful? Approachable or ageable? In the case of our Stagecoach Red Blend, the answer is: Yes.

The blend - 56% Cabernet Franc and 43% Cabernet Sauvignon - has both beautiful aromatics and silky texture AND succulent fruit and rich tannins. The wine exudes aromas of fruit, spice and herbs. Specifically: currants, cedar and sage. On the palate, black cherry, blueberry, figs, jalapeño and dark chocolate. Finishes with a hint of dried orange. The tannins are assertive but not chewy. They give the wine backbone - a spine of support for its fleshy fruit and spicy tendons. The one percent not accounted for above is Petit Verdot, a bit of pixie dust we use to add a floral touch, violets and lilacs.
