A combination of Toombs Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley and “I Can’t Tell You” in Alexander Valley AVA. Both sites are professionally managed. The Alexander Valley site is really, really close to Jordan and a little further from Stuhlmuller on a natural benchland above the valley floor, with plenty of breezes, small intense clusters, and the typicity you’d expect from this incredible site. While the Dry Creek Valley Toombs site is closer to Rockpile than Healdsburg, way up in the hills above the Valley. No fog, nothing but sunny skies, and a warm growing season in 2021. It lends the spice, tannin, and backbone to the wine. For its ripeness and forward spice, it remains in balance for those who like a younger Cabernet.
