The 2014 harvest began early and ended early with near-perfect weather. Heavy rains in late February and early March were all the rain we saw this growing season which kicked off a perfect start to an amazing vintage. The drought brought about smaller berry sizes with more concentrated character, which is what we hope for when crafting our wines.
Aromas of wild rhubarb, fresh cherries, red licorice, and cedar. A soft entry of ripe Bing cherry and grilled strawberry, followed by richer tones of toffee, lightly toasted oak.
