More than a vineyard, we are surrounded by a unique forest sanctuary in the Russian River Valley AVA. Here we create wines for tomorrow using soil derived from the movement of an ancient inland sea. Tobias Glen, our estate vineyard, is a 19-acre parcel located in one of the most cherished cool-climate micro regions of the Russian River Valley AVA in Sonoma County. Tucked in a secluded valley and surrounded by an ecological forest sanctuary of heritage oak and fir, this bucolic, sustainably-farmed estate is ideally suited for producing world class Pinot Noir.

2017 started wet and rainy with some record-breaking rain from November through April. Bud break was in March and relatively late compared to the previous vintage. Our team worked hard to finish the soil work and keep up with the vines’ fast growth. Summer temperatures provided a breather with the colder weather and foggy conditions in late August bringing a welcome and slow ripening at the end of a long ripening cycle. The grapes were harvested on the last day of August before the tremendous heat of September.
