Russian River Valley is where it all began. In 2004, Seth planted the first six acres of Pinot Noir that would become the backbone of the LOLA brand in the years to come. Over the years, we have expanded this vineyard to just over 20 acres total: about 15 acres of Pinot Noir. The vineyard is located in the Bloomfield/Burnside Road area, just southwest of Sebastopol, at the southern end of the Russian River Valley AVA. This cooler part of the AVA allows us to produce wines that are lighter and more elegant in style. The vineyard has been farmed organically since 2011.

Our LOLA Russian River Valley Reserve Pinot Noir is an effort to reintroduce the original wine style, upon which LOLA was founded in 2008. Native yeast, fermented, neutral oak aged and whole cluster fermentation are meant to showcase a pure and natural expression of Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. The wine shows beautiful strawberry and cherry aromas combined with a layered, textural mouth-feel, along with bright acidity and firm natural tannins that give it the backbone for many years of age-ability. Unfined and unfiltered.
