The year started out with ample rainfall which kept the soils moist and cool into spring. Summer was marked by warm, even daytime temperatures with few extreme heat spikes. The opportune weather conditions continued into late summer and fall. The harvest was of average volume, if not slightly below average, and the fruit quality was exceptional; allowing us to craft wines with texture, structure, and finesse.

Our 2019 Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced entirely from a vineyard renowned for its volcanic and porous soils with moderate overall temperatures, and ideal conditions for creating a bold, full-flavored wine.

The nose reveals aromas of complex bramble fruit, black cherry, and dusty herbs. The palate unfolds with swirling flavors of blackberry, black currant, and vanilla, leading to a gripping and dense finish.

Napa Valley has become the country’s most respected region for Cabernet. Diamond Mountain is a region that has garnered a great deal of respect for Cabernet. In optimal vintages, since 2005, we’ve sourced Cabernet Sauvignon from this prestigious appellation and designated a small amount of it for this bottling.
