“In the days of my youth, I was told what it means to be a man, now I’ve reached that age; I’ve tried to do all those things the best I can.” Led Zeppelin, “1st Album”

GOOD TIMES, BAD TIMES is a Single Vineyard wine made from vines first planted in the 1870s by Hiram W. Crabb in the historic vineyard called To Kalon. It’s situated in the Oakville Appellation of the Napa Valley next to the Mondavi winery and over the road from OPUS ONE. The vineyard is owned and managed by Andy Beckstoffer, the best known grower in the Napa Valley.

This single vineyard is situated between Stan’s Leap and Atlas Peak AVA’s overlooking the plain of the Napa Valley. The vineyard gets the advantage of the east sloping views. With a rich bouquet of black cherries, rope raspberries, lightly grilled toast, mocha and caramel, it has a hint of gingerbread on the nose. The palate has a clean, rich, fruit-driven, attach, with ripe velvety tannins, excellent balance and a long, lingering finish.
