Located on Westside Road in the heart of the Russian River Valley, Bucher Vineyard was founded in 1997 by John Bucher. After graduating from UC Davis, John returned to Healdsburg to manage the family dairy farm and soon diversified into wine grapes. Additional plantings followed in 1998, 1999, 2006, 2008, and 2009. Today, Bucher Vineyard consists of 38 acres of sustainably farmed grapes on the home ranch and 30 acres of leased vineyard just north on Westside Road. In addition to the estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, John now farms Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel, Syrah, and Grenache.

Our 2021 Three Sixty is a seven-barrel blend that comes from five blocks and is a blend of four Pinot Noir clones. The Calera clone brings in the dark fruit flavors of blackberry and boysenberry. The Pommard clone adds structure, acidity, and some zesty cranberry flavors. The Dijon 777 clone is dark, rich, and introduces a velvety mouthfeel. The intense aromatics from the Swan clone kicks off the party with notes of raspberry, pomegranate, and a distinctive spiciness.

The rich dark tones begin on the nose and carry through into the lingering finish. Dark berry aromas — blackberry, boysenberry, huckleberry — mingle with subtle traces of savory herbs and toasted oak. Bold dark fruit appears on the entry as balanced acidity tames the plush flavors. Threads of forest floor spices and toasty oak weave through layers of blackberry, plum, black raspberry, cherry cola, and pomegranate. The graceful composition created by the flavors and structure allows one to just focus on enjoying each sip.
