Planted in 2019, the Twice Tyger estate boarders the Machado Creek in Morgan Hill’s Pardise Valley. A 30-acre property, half of the acreage is planted to 10 different grape varietals. The property is regeneratively farmed, and rooted in terrain underlain by Pleistocene alluvial sediments which consist of well consolidated silty clays, and pockets of gravel.

Hand-harvested seperately in October of 2022, fruit was gently transported to the winery. Crushed and de-stemmed into stainless steel tanks, the naturally fermenting juice was pumped-over the caps twice daily for twelve days. Pressed at dryness, the resulting wine spent 20 months in French-oak barrels (20% new). It was ultimately bottled on August 9th, 2024.

Overt layers of black and blue toned fruit notes frame the complex bouquet, as aromas of boysenberry, black berries and plum exude from the glass. In the recesses, intriguing aromas of lavender, dried herbs and vanilla mingle with and a touch of black pepper and coffee. Medium-full bodied, the tannins firm yet approachable continuing through the long finish.
