Di Stasio Vineyards is designated as a California historic vineyard. As a designated historic vineyard, we’re recognized for the unique characterstics that these vineyards possess. To qualify, the vineyards must’ve been planted over 50 years ago and still in production. Planted in 1960, vineyard a true icon of the Sierra Foothills. The unique soils range from decomposed granite to sandy loam, dry farmed and head-trained method, that leads to low yields.
The nose offers red and blue fruits,flowery incense, candied violets, and brambly herbs. Medium to full-bodied and nicely textured, with remarkable purity of fruit as well as ripe tannins, drink bottles any time over the coming 4-6 years.
