The Francisco Maestas Vineyard in the southwestern portion of the Sonoma Valley AVA is proudly farmed by our team. By minimizing vineyard inputs, we have been able to maximize varietal character and capture the true voice of this site. Planted in 1999, this vineyard was established in honor of the owner’s Father, Francisco. We are honored to carry on his legacy with each glass!
Whole berries were allowed to cold soak in tank for 4 days before native yeast kicked off fermentation. The wine was pressed off sweet and allowed to finish fermentation in barrel, for a total of 18 months in 100% Bordelaise French oak prior to bottling.
Our Sonoma Cabernet offers a complex bouquet of black fruits, sage, tobacco, and worn leather, with layers of blackberry, bramble, and creamy espresso. This wine beautifully captures the essence of its site, promising elegance, depth, and aging potential. - Jay Nunez, Winemaker
