‘Patou’ is the name of the small vineyard parcel located to the south of the village of Cornas. This pure Syrah wine showcases the true soul of Cornas: deeply colored, robustly structured, endlessly satisfying. Black and purple fruits mix with silky tannins and hints of licorice and soy.

’Patou’ is the name of the family’s vineyard, under four acres facing southeast, located south of the village proper. Soils combine decomposed granite with sand. Hand-harvested. Fermented full cluster on indigenous yeasts in tank; gently crushed by foot. Aged for approx. one year in older French oak barrels (barrels generally older than six-seven years). Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Aromas of black cherries, boysenberries, light licorice, earth. Mouthfilling, suave yet grippy tannins; long finish. Grilled pork sausages; game meat in red wine sauce; roast lamb.
