Bacigalupi Vineyard is a historic family-owned property located in the central Russian River Valley AVA of Sonoma County. The 121-acre site was purchased in 1956 by Charles and Helen Bacigalupi. The vineyard gained fame when Helen’s Chardonnay grapes from the property were used in the 1973 Chateau Montelena wine that famously won the 1976 Judgment of Paris tasting. Now spanning about 125 acres with rich mineral-driven soils, a broad diurnal temperature range, and a unique microclimate, it remains a family legacy operation, producing premium grapes such as Zinfandel and Petite Sirah.
