Château Giscours, Grand Cru classified in 1855 is a wine with a great personality, it is the expression of the know-how of our teams and all the richness of our terroir, in the Margaux appellation. Château Giscours is an elegant, structured wine with a magnificent aromatic brilliance. It is a wine that evolves magnificently over time and whose pleasure of tasting is transmitted from generation to generation.

2022 was an exceptional year, producing a vintage unlike any other. The mild winter preceded a particularly hot and dry spring and summer. Thanks to the knowledge and rigour of our teams, we were able to maintain the health of the vineyards. The natural mulching provided by the plant cover protected the soil from the heat and helped to capture water from the summer storms to replenish the water reserves. Despite their small size, the concentrated berries were ideally able to withstand the heatwave thanks to their deep roots. Harvest from September 1st to 29th, yield 27 hl/ha (lowest ever). In the vineyard and in the cellar, precise and tailored work with meticulous attention to detail to reveal all the richness. This wine shows a beautiful freshness, fine tannins with a long finish. It is an outstanding vintage!
