Valle di Sotto (Italian for “valley below”) is an 80-acre organically farmed estate vineyard on the valley floor in the Oak Knoll District. Planted in 2018–2019 with 10 varietals including Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. The cooler microclimate with marine influence, moderate temperatures, and longer growing season produces wines with bright acidity and fruit-forward character. Certified CCOF organic and Napa Green.
Robust and full-bodied, this Zinfandel-based blend combines raspberry leaf and hibiscus with spiced cherries and red fruits. Juicy and flavorful, carrying into a long finish. On the palate, red fruit dominates the entry with black licorice on the finish. Tannins are robust on the mid-palate, balancing the alcohol, with a bright burst of acidity.
