The Palmes d’Or’s exceptional level of quality can be attributed to the Grand Cru-classified chalk terroirs which played a crucial role as a natural vineyard regulator, offering refuge and balance in the face of a fluctuating climate. This non-vintage expression is an equal blend of Chardonnay (100% Grand Cru sourced from the Côtes des Blancs including Chouilly, Cramant, Avize, Oger, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger) and Pinot Noir (100% Grand Cru sourced from Montagne de Reims including Ambonnay, Bouzy, Aÿ-Champagne, Verzy and Verzenay).
Deep gold with streams of delicate, lively bubbles. Intense and expressive, marked by a beautiful maturity and notes of dried plums and candied oranges. Ample and well balanced, the palate is dominated by creamy apricots and a nutty edge, followed by a more rounded mouthfeel of beeswax and subtle nutmeg and blood orange. The finish is long, lingering, and contemplative.
