The Kapcsándy Family Winery is situated on the historic 20-acre State Lane Vineyard in Yountville, formerly a key source for Beringer’s Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. After acquiring the property, the Kapcsándy family undertook an extensive replanting effort, meticulously dividing the vineyard into 15 specific blocks planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. Numerous soil and microclimate tests were conducted prior to purchase to ensure the family was acquiring one of Napa’s best plots of land, combining prime location, climate, and terroir to create a remarkable environment for cultivating Bordeaux grape varieties.
