Single north-facing vineyard just above the village of Rochefort-sur-Loire with vines aged 15-65 years old, planted in sandy quartz soils over schist. Owned by the Baumard family for centuries. Provides marked acidity, finesse, and depth contrasting richer south-facing sites.

Deep-gold color with aromas of dried apricot, orange marmalade, honey, quince, golden apple, and dried orange peel. Rich, plush, and opulent on the palate with complexity, lovely freshness, elegance, and wonderful acidity. Honey, celery, cooked peach flavors; balanced with 163 g/L residual sugar.
