Our grapes call the historic Frediani Vineyard home. The Frediani family has been growing grapes in Napa Valley since 1898, and these particular vines were planted in 1935. Jim Frediani is a third-generation Italian grower from a family line of one of Napa’s first wine farming families. The Frediani Vineyard sits in rocky gravel and bale clay loam soil in the middle of Napa Valley. With intense hot days and chilly nights, the variance in temperature produces lush fruit. The unique climate and aged Frediani vines is the reason Voces Cellars wines are never blended with any other valley fruit.

Voces Cellars harvests vine by vine, every cluster by hand in cool night temperatures to maintain ideal acids. After hand-sorting, clusters go through a two to three day cold soak before fermenting in stainless steel tanks. The wines ferment for a year and a half before final blend selection through rigorous blind trials, followed by an additional two years of bottle age before release.
