The Cuvée Simone is sourced from 1 hectare of fine, deep-soiled plots located partly in Remigny and partly at the foot of the Chassagne hillside, on the border of the communes of Puligny-Montrachet and Corpeau. The south-facing vines average 45 years of age and are planted on rich clay and limestone soils particularly well suited to Bourgogne-appellation Pinot Noir. Named in honor of Simone, wife of Pierre Amiot and grandmother of current winemaker Thierry, the cuvée has carried her name since its introduction in 2015.

2022 was a warm, dry year that delivered an early harvest and welcome volumes following the frost-ravaged 2021. In the cellar, the wines showed ripe, gourmand fruit from the outset. The reds are silky, red-fruited, and already very approachable.

Beautiful light ruby color with a nice shine. The nose is redolent of red and black fruit — blackcurrant, cherry, and blackberry — accompanied by spicy notes and forest floor. To be enjoyed young or cellared for up to five years.
