The Longbois plot, planted in the woods west of Beaune, was included in the Amiot vineyard in 2014 and became the focus of their attention in order to revive the vines and bring out the best in the Pinot grape. The vineyard faces east on clay and limestone soils, with an ideal drinking window of 5 to 8 years and an aging potential of 10 years.

Frosty temperatures of -2° to -8°C and even snow surprised the domaine in the nights of April 6–7–8, causing heavy losses in buds — what a waste after months of work in the vineyards leading to very little in just a few hours. Unlike early 2020, harvest did not begin until September 21. Yields are naturally low, in favor of fruit flavor concentration, reminding of the 2016 vintage — same cause, same result. Beautiful light ruby color with a nice shine. The nose is redolent of red and black fruit — blackcurrant, cherry, blackberry — accompanied by spicy notes and forest floor.
