Howell Mountain had record snowfall and ample rain (60 inches), followed by a very cool spring and early summer heat. Luckily, we had no frost damage like last year! The crop seems a little light, but we’ll take what we can get after some wild weather events. This is Cabernet with a backbone: dark fruit depth, mountain tannin, and the kind of finish that lasts longer than most conversations.
