An ode to Art, and art. This wine embodies the physical media of art through the beautiful renderings of our founder Art Finkelstein’s paintings found on each vintage’s label, as well as the ephemeral art inside the bottle, crafted through thoughtful winemaking and artful blending. Each vintage of Founder’s Art begins with a tasting and assessment of the individual Bordeaux varietal barrels at Judd’s Hill. There are barrels that, when tasted, rise to the top of the list. Every year, the blend is slightly different, allowing the vintage to really shine!

The 2021 vintage was defined by low yields and intensely flavored, small berries, a result of Napa Valley’s second consecutive year of drought. Despite these challenges, the harvest season was smooth and uneventful. Our Founders Art blend, harvested over several pick dates from late September through October, highlights the concentrated flavors developed during this dry year.
