The 2022 Cabernet Franc offers a captivating nose with spices reminiscent of Mexican mole, cinnamon, and bitter chocolate intertwining with the more herbaceous notes of dry marjoram. On the palate, the wine reveals layers of dark fruit including boysenberry, brambleberry, and plum skin, complemented by a touch of violet. Simply elegant.

As an authentic expression, we favor picking fruit for our Cabernet Franc at the beginning of phenolic ripeness to retain as much of the varietal’s natural character as possible. The Cabernet Franc is sourced from the Cypress Vineyard in Napa’s Pope Valley sub-AVA. Each lot is fermented separately, with twice-daily punch-downs and frequent pump-overs to extract structure and concentration.
