The Aux Lieux-Dits is drawn from a 7-hectare spread of eight named places (lieux-dits) entirely within the commune of Gigondas. Soils range from sandy red clay and coarse gravel atop the colluvial Cône de la Font des Papes at Les Hautes Garrigues, Les Carbonnières, Les Rocassières, and Les Routes, to blue Pliocene marl at Goujard and Plane, and grey Cretaceous marl rich in limestone at Clos Derrière Vieille. Vines average 40 years of age and are farmed under both Ecocert organic and Demeter biodynamic certification.

The 2022 vintage in Gigondas yielded a wine that Wine Anorak described as “very fresh and linear” from a cask sample, with bright cherry and berry fruits, juicy focus, and fine tannins in excellent balance — reflecting a growing season that delivered natural freshness and precision alongside southern Rhône ripeness.

Fruit-driven with fine herbaceous notes in its youth, the Aux Lieux-Dits draws its character from four Rhône varieties across eight distinct places, each contributing its own personality to the whole. Decanter found it bright and raspberry-fruited, with fine and relatively light tannins and brisk redcurrant acidity — a juicy and refreshing expression. Comptoir des Millésimes noted an enticing nose of ripe raspberries with licorice, followed by wonderful freshness, juiciness, and generous fine tannins building to a long, complete finish. With cellaring, the wine is expected to evolve slowly toward more spicy notes.
