La Pistolina honors our great-grandfather, who came to America from Italy. Over wine served in a simple water glass, he told stories of finding “The Little Gun” in a dumpster. We never heard of him using it, but always felt it kept him out of trouble. This wine celebrates his stories and sense of humor.

Heat hastened the 2022 harvest. Grapes picked before and after the heat wave were carefully selected for La Pistolina’s second Cabernet Sauvignon release, continuing the legacy begun in 2016. Purple plum and black cherry preserves, followed by vanilla and toasted clove. Black pepper, tobacco, chocolate and leather add subtle layers. Big, bold flavor with a jammy layer of dark fruit, purple plum and black cherry. Toasted warm spice, nutmeg, vanilla bean and cocoa define this vintage.
