Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III is one of Napa Valley’s most revered sites — a piece of living history originally planted to vine in 1895 by Elizabeth Yount Rutherford. Developed by Georges de Latour in 1928 and launched to fame by André Tchelistcheff in the 1960s, G3 is a 300-acre plot in the heart of Rutherford comprising gravelly, sandy loam soils tucked between Conn Creek Road and Silverado Trail, noted for yielding wines with incredible complexity and elegance. Since 2009, 181 acres have been a designated and protected heritage site.

Block G is a 5.34-acre parcel situated on the western edge of the G3 site, planted with Clone 4 in 2003 — a clone that does particularly well in Rutherford’s alluvial soils, yielding tight clusters of large berries that produce exceptionally plush, rounded Cabernet Sauvignon.

Lifted aromas of cedar, baking spice, and clove introduce a laser-focused palate that is packed with ripe red fruit, black cherry, and plum, flecked with notes of dark chocolate, graham cracker, and roasted coffee bean.
