“Our Yountville Ranch Vineyard stole my heart years ago. How can anyone be surprised that exceptional fruit has been grown in this location for 150 years?” - Kimberlee Nicholls, Winemaker
Nestled in the heart of Napa Valley, between Oakville to the north and Oak Knoll to the south. Warm climate moderated by fog and breezes from the San Pablo Bay. Summer temperatures reach low 90s and drop to mid-50s at night. Reds grown here are elegant & supple, with complex finely-knit tannins.
Ripe red fruit character mingles with plum, currant and raspberry notes. Barrel spices come across rather exotically, centering on cardamom, vanilla and tobacco leaf. Yountville District offers distinctly chalky tannins that aid in its age ability. Pair with an equally textured meal, such as butter-based herb-crusted steak, to achieve perfect balance.
