Taub Family Vineyards traces its roots back four generations — mere days after the repeal of Prohibition. Wine has always been at the heart of the family’s story, guided by Marc D. Taub, raised with a profound reverence for winemaking inherited from his grandfather Marty, a pivotal figure in the wine industry since the early 1930s. Russell Bevan made this limited release wine, applying a technically focused approach that emphasizes vineyard precision, controlled extraction, and structural balance. Fruit is night harvested at optimal ripeness, with careful attention to tannin maturity and acid balance in the vineyard.
Plush, bold and dark primary fruit flavors are supported by subtle spicy and savory notes adding layers of complexity. Mocha- and mineral-streaked supple tannins frame the wine throughout.
