Château Tour de Yon is located just a few yards from the famous Château Yon Figeac. The estate covers 4.77 hectares of old vines planted in old sands and gravels soils. Old vines, low yields, hand harvesting, and meticulous sorting are hallmarks of this property, resulting in sumptuous blends that rival many more illustrious names in Saint-Émilion.

Harvest took place on September 8, 2022. Winemaking employed optical sorting, gravity-flow vinification with temperature control, cold pre-fermentation maceration, and extended maceration of 30 to 35 days. Malolactic fermentation was carried out in new French oak barrels, followed by aging in French oak for 14 to 16 months.

A marriage of New World-style hedonism — lavish sweet black cherry and blueberry fruit — to a classic Old World structure, with polished, savoury oak tightly knitted into the frame. Very accomplished, with time on its side. On the palate, the wine is elegant and balanced with crisp fruit, a pure and complete palate, and good length; the large amount of new oak supports and complements the concentrated fruit.
