Our 2012 Chardonnay opens with lively aromas of tropical fruit, peach and citrus. A creamy, rounded texture offers rich flavors of pineapple, mango, melon and tangerine. Brisk acidity and mineral nuances linger on a full, balanced finish. Recommended pairings include grilled citrus chicken, white fish with lemon butter, and fettuccine with cream sauce.

The grapes were harvested in the early morning hours to maintain cool fruit temperatures for the preservation of fresh flavors and delicate aromatics. The wine was fermented in a combination of stainless steel and French oak to achieve a crisp texture with added dimension and complexity. The wine was aged on the lees for six months to build mouthfeel and textural nuance.

Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar Review Pale, green-tinged yellow. Aromas and flavors of melon and peach, with a subtle touch of smokiness building in the glass. Juicy and tightly focused, offering tangy honeydew and green apple flavors and a hint of bitter quinine. Closes slightly warm.

** Steve Heimoff Review** A touch of French oak brings a honeyed, vanilla smokiness to this wine, but the star really is the fruit. It’s rich and forward with pineapples, peaches and mangoes, and made brilliant by crisp acidity. This is a good price for a Chardonnnay of this quality.
